Before Oktoberfest

Spaghetti Dinner

All-you-can-eat, cooked and served by the club, in the school cafeteria. The night the early bird raffle drawings are pulled.

The night

The club cooks it.
The parish fills the room.

The spaghetti dinner opens the Oktoberfest season. The Men’s Club takes the kitchen for the evening — sauce on in the afternoon, the serving line running from the moment doors open, and the last table wiped down long after.

A plate is all the spaghetti you can eat, warm breadsticks, salad and a drink, with a dessert table the parish bakes for. Admission is free with a Big Ticket Raffle ticket, and one ticket covers a family.

Partway through the evening the raffle drum comes out and the early bird drawings are pulled — the first money awarded in the Oktoberfest raffle, with the grand prize still to come at the festival itself.
